Just because we don’t have work doesn’t mean we can’t vibe to some good songs. Happy Labor Day everyone, here’s my gift to you! Head here every Monday for a few fresh tunes to get your week started right.

This week I have hand selected a variety of music genres to get you moving and in the zone so you can show your professor, coworker, boss, mom–whoever, who’s really in control. Just click the play button at the bottom of this post to hear the playlist in full, or check out each track individually.

The Chain Gang of 1974 – Sleepwalking (Just A Gent Remix)

The Chain Gang of 1974 is the indietronica child of American musician and DJ, Kamtin Mohager. For all you gamers, “Sleepwalking” was featured in Grand Theft Auto V official soundtrack.

Cat Power – Sea of Love

“Sea of Love” is a song written by John Phillip Baptiste (aka Phil Phillips) and George Khoury in 1959. Since then it has been covered by several artists, but if you are like me and love hearing the originals check it out here ! The Cat Power version can also be found on the Juno soundtrack.

The War On Drugs – Red Eyes

“Red Eyes” is the first single from the album Lost in a Dream released in March of this year. With its upbeat tune and 80’s like influences it is sure to have you dancing around the house in your underwear (because who wants to get ready on their day off?).

Disclosure – You & Me (Flume Remix)

“You & Me” is a song by British electronic garage-house duo Disclosure, featuring vocals from Eliza Doolittle. The release of this Flume remix also came with a steamy music video that probably shows the most passion between two people you ever saw without showing anything at all.

Childish Gambino – Centipede

Since the release of his debut album, Camp, in 2011 and his Royalty mixtape which featured the rap debut of Tina Fey ( listen here ), Gambino has been shifting his career from acting (watch Community , because it’s hilarious and amazing) to a strong musical career. This track was released as a free download before his most recent album Because the Internet .

Working with Chelsie Bourg (now Gros!) on her wedding invitations and website was a dream, not just because she is one of my best friends, but also because she is one of the kindest people I know and she's not afraid of fun design! We worked with her to create a look that would make her wedding stand out and reflect the bright and wonderful person she is while still matching her rustic floral wedding decor!

Associated Pump & Supply sells and rents pumps and other dewatering equipment. It is a flourishing, family owned business that has been in Houma, Louisiana for many years. Associated Pump was in need of an updated website that not only showcased their services, but also showed visitors all the equipment they had to offer. We were able to come up with a solution that was more corporate and modern, and easy for visitors to navigate. Check them out at

Lafourche ARC continues to do so much for those in our community with developmental disabilities. Everyday they work to better the lives of so many people, but their web presence was not a reflection of the work that they did and continue to do. Together with the W.L. Gaiennie Company we worked to create a new brand and website that showed all the positive work done by the ARC. We used a mix of impactful imagery with fun bright colors and a more serious, corporate design elements to set the tone for the important work that they do. The new site will be up soon at
